The Arizona Department of Transportation is nearing completion of improvements made to the drainage system along State Route 88 between Tomahawk and Buffalo roads.
The intersection of SR88 and Tomahawk Road in Apache Junction is scheduled to reopen tonight — Friday, June 16.
Crews will continue to work in the area and minimal restrictions are expected as the project wraps up, according to a release.
ADOT thanks the community for its patience and would like to remind drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
