PHOENIX, ARIZONA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2023/EINPresswire/ — Higher Wire Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant for its groundbreaking project titled “Multiport Multi-directional Modular and Scalable Power Conversion Platform with DC/AC Source/Storage Integration using Wide Bandgap Power Electronics.” The project aims to accelerate the integration of renewable energy into residential applications and reduce barriers to clean energy adoption, particularly in disadvantaged communities.Project OverviewThe funded proposal focuses on the design, development, hardware prototyping, and experimental validation of a highly innovative multi-port, multi-directional power conversion system (PCS). It incorporates an actively controlled pulse-width modulated triple active bridge (TAB) converter, essentially a three-port network capable of directing power flow optimally between interconnected ports.
