West Sacramento-based The Raley’s Companies saw a 74% spike in U.S. retail sales in 2022, making it one of the nation’s fastest-growing retail companies, according to the National Retail Federation.The retail trade association’s Hot 25 Retailers list, released Wednesday, ranks the nation’s fastest-growing retail companies. The rankings, which were compiled by data and consulting company Kantar, were determined by increases in domestic sales between 2021 and 2022, with only retail companies with global sales in excess of $2 billion eligible for inclusion.Raley’s ranked second on the list, which cited the 2021 acquisition of Arizona-based grocer Bashas’ Co. as a reason Raley’s U.S. sales rose to $5.53 billion last year from $3.185 billion in 2021.
