
PHOENIX – A new Paradise Valley mansion recently sold for $33.5 million, making it the most expensive home in Arizona history.
The property at 5738 N. Casa Blanca Drive was originally listed for $40 million while it was still under construction.
The address is the site of a home built in 1969 that was torn down after selling for $2.5 million in 2020, according to Realtor.com.
The property was turned into a 23,000-square-foot compound on just under 2.5 acres with six bedrooms and 13.5 bathrooms.
Among the many amenities is a safe room that connects to a basement with a shooting range, lounge and bar.
Another Paradise Valley mansion was previous record holder
The new record sale closed on Jan. 31, five months after the previous record was set.
Another luxury Paradise Valley mansion, 5724 E. Mockingbird Lane, sold for $32.39 million on Aug. 28, 2024.
