
Mebane, already the fastest-growing municipality in the Triad, stands to get a residential project of 409 homes this week.City Council is scheduled Monday to consider extending city limits to the 54-acre site for the Oakwood subdivision planned by Meritage Homes of the Carolinas, part of national homebuilder Meritage Homes.Plans previously approved by Mebane call for 275 single family home lots and 134 townhome units on a net of about 134 acres.
