Pennsylvania-based Newrez LLC has notified the state of Arizona that it intends to lay off 73 workers at its Tempe facility.This move follows other Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN letters, filed in Colorado and Florida to acknowledge layoffs in those states. Newrez has now laid off 569 employees in Arizona, Colorado and Florida between May 2024 to August 2024, according to WARNTracker.com.Arizona companies with 100 or more employees are typically required to file WARN letters with the state ahead of mass layoffs or plant closings.The layoffs in Tempe are expected to be completed Aug. 26, according to the WARN notice Newrez filed with Arizona.
