Off-road and off-highway vehicle enthusiasts have a new staging and trailhead location in the Parker area. A ribbon-cutting was held for the River Island OHV Park on Thursday, June 12. The park is located north of Parker on State Route 95 next to River Island Market. It’s between Buckskin Mountain and River Island State Parks.The OHV park is part of Arizona Parks & Trails’ system. They said this marked the completion of Phase 1 of the project, and it includes a large paved and fenced parking area, a signage kiosk and the entry to the trail.“The OHV staging area allows riders a secure location to stage their tow vehicles, perform OHV pre-ride safety checks, and gear up before hitting the trail.
