Broadband service coming to Verde Village soon





PRESCOTT — Construction work started Monday, Dec. 2, as Yavapai County and Internet provider Sparklight begin installing new infrastructure to provide broadband service to unincorporated Verde Village.Initial work will start just east of Cottonwood near the Walmart store. The Verde Village build will include either aerial hook-ups or digging some 36 inches below ground to install lines to connect 4,411 homes and businesses in the Verde Villages to provide broadband service within the next year or so, according to Tim Carter, Yavapai County school superintendent.
