When Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) took the state for the Harris-Walz rally in Phoenix, Arizona Friday he remarked about the size of the crowd, playing off former President Donald Trump’s concerns mentioned in a Thursday press conference.
“Not as if anyone cares about crowd sizes or anything,” he said and then laughed.
Walz later in his speech mentioned this could be the largest campaign rally crowd in Arizona’s history.
On Thursday, Trump spent time discussing crowd sizes at a Mar-a-Lago press conference, comparing his crowds to Martin Luther King Jr’s’.
“Nobody’s spoken to crowds bigger than me. If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything, same number of people, if not, we had more,” Trump said. “And they said he had a million people, but I had 25,000 people.”
