PHOENIX — The secretary of state is asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit by the Arizona Republican Party he says is based on pure speculation, which claims hundreds of thousands of people are registered to vote who are dead or have moved.An attorney for Secretary of State Adrian Fontes points out in new court filings that the state GOP at one point in its lawsuit sets the figure of ineligible voters on the rolls at “at least 500,000.”But the party, its chair and its allies also claim that “other reliable data sources show that Arizona has between 1,060,000 and 1,270,000 unaccounted for voters on the state rolls,” said Assistant Attorney General Kara Karlson, representing Fontes.  “Plaintiffs’ numbers are so desperate that it can mean only one thing: Plaintiffs are guessing,” Karlson told U.S. District Court Judge …
