An Opendoor study released in early January revealed the most popular ZIP codes and hidden gems of 2024, and two Arizona locations made the lists.Methodology for finding the most popular ZIP codes involved analyzing data from local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) where Opendoor Brokerage operates. ZIPs were then ranked by total homes that went into contract within 90 days of listing in 2024.Hidden gems were found by Opendoor by examining the number of new listings in its markets, in its buy box — in certain price bands — and then calculating the percentage increase in the number of new listings from January 2024 to November 2024 on a ZIP code level. A ZIP code needed at least five new listings in both months to qualify for the list. So, which Arizona cities made the list?
