The Stonehaven Senior Living facility in Eagan is under new ownership after a $23.5 million sale.
Stonehaven ALF LLC, an entity related to The Goodman Group of Chaska, acquired the property from Stonehaven Senior Housing Owner LLC, according to a certificate of real estate value made public Thursday. The property is at 1000 Station Trail in Eagan.
Built in 2018, Stonehaven Senior Living in Eagan has 96 units and 17.7% vacancy, according to Catylist Research. The facility offers independent living, assisted living and memory care units ranging in size from studios to two bedrooms, according to Stonehaven’s website. The price breaks down to $244,792 per unit.
Amenities include “inviting common areas, a movie theater, pub lounge, salon and spa, library, chapel, and elegant finishes,” according to The Goodman Group.
In addition to Stonehaven Senior Living, The Goodman Group manages The Commons on Marice and Intergenerational Learning Center in Eagan, the company said in a press release.
“Stonehaven Senior Living will be an excellent addition to our growing portfolio, especially as the second community in the Eagan area,” Craig Edinger, chief executive officer at The Goodman Group, said in the release. “We look forward to connecting with existing residents and their families, as well as welcoming new seniors and guests. During this transition, we’re also dedicated to partnering with and supporting the current team members and leadership team.”
Headwaters Development broke ground on the four-story, 130,000-square-foot building in 2017, as Finance & Commerce reported at the time. The project team included Engelsma Construction and Kaas Wilson Architects.
Founded in 1965, The Goodman Group manages 64 properties in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, Oregon, Arizona and Florida, according to its website. In all, the website notes, the company manages “senior living and health care communities, residential communities and commercial properties that provide homes and services for more than 10,000 residents and employment for over 4,000 individuals.”
Jill Johnson, president and founder of Johnson Consulting Services, said The Goodman Group is a “solid provider with deep background and experience in the industry.”
