Another Parker High senior girl has signed on to play sports in college. Veronica Sandoval, who is a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, officially signed the documents to play college basketball at Ottawa University in Surprise, Ariz. on Wednesday, May 14 at Irataba Hall. She was joined by her family, friends and an estimated 200 community members.Sandoval’s parents are Tara Harper and Juan Pablo Sandoval. She is the first person in her family to attend college. She’s aiming to become an athletic trainer.This past basketball season was a good one for Sandoval. She was regularly in double-figures as the Broncs’ top scorer.
