Trio of builders buy more lots at giant Buckeye master-planned community


Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HHH) selected Scottsdale-based Meritage Home Corp. (NYSE: MTH) to join its roster of builders at the 37,000-acre Teravalis master-planned community in Buckeye.Meritage becomes the seventh homebuilder that will bring homes to Teravalis.The Arizona builder paid $1.83 million for 81 lots at Floreo, the first village to be developed at Teravalis, according to Tempe-based real estate database Vizzda LLC.Meritage plans to build homes ranging between 1,400 and 2,400 square feet, with homes expected to be available during the second half of 2025, said Rebecca Lundberg, area president of the Phoenix, Tucson and Salt Lake City divisions at Meritage Homes.While it’s too early to determine price ranges for these new homes, Lundberg said Meritage will continue to expand homeownership opportunities in metro Phoenix by offering entry-level homes at an affordable price.Existing homebuilders buy more lotsDenver-based Century Communities Inc.
