Phoenix homes where Barry Goldwater, John McCain once lived are for sale


A historic home where former U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater once lived, as well as a unit in a condominium building where former U.S. Sen. John McCain lived are both now on the market.
The historic home at 1614 Palmcroft Drive is listed for $2.05 million, while the condominium unit at 2211 E. Camelback Road is listed for $1.6 million. Both Phoenix residences have been recently renovated.
Goldwater once lived in the Spanish colonial revival as a newlywed, said Frank Aazami, global real estate advisor with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
Goldwater was a member of the U.S. Senate in two stints, from 1953 to 1965 and also from 1969 to 1987. The Palmcroft Drive residence was also home to former Arizona Sen. Steve Pierce, who served in the Senate from 2009 to 2017 and then in the Arizona House from 2019 to 2021.
