Former Healthcare Trust employees launch medical real estate venture


A group of former Healthcare Trust of America executives in Arizona are joining forces with GI Partners, one of the country’s biggest real estate private investment firms, in a new joint venture that will focus on investments in medical outpatient buildings, or MOBs.The joint venture platform, called UDLR Healthcare, will be headquartered in Scottsdale, and intends to look in key markets nationwide for its investment targets.The group of former Healthcare Trust of America execs left the company, which is one of the largest U.S. owner and operator of MOBs, in the wake of its acquisition by Nashville-based Healthcare Realty Trust Inc. (NYSE: HR) in 2022.UDLR Healthcare is led by CEO Robert Milligan, an Arizona State University graduate who was Healthcare Trust’s longtime CFO.
