Liquidity Services Inc., a Bethesda e-commerce company that brokers sales of surplus goods for corporations and government agencies, has kicked off the new year by acquiring an Arizona auction house that specializes in helping local governments sell off seized or forfeited assets.The deal for Phoenix-based Sierra Auction, announced Wednesday, accelerates Liquidity Services’ expansion in the Southwest, which the company has identified as a key growth market.
