Barry Goldwater in the Encanto-Palmcroft neighborhood is on the market for $2.05 million.The 4,142-square-foot Spanish colonial revival home, now owned by former Arizona Senate President Steve Pierce, was built in 1931. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an arched stained-glass window and original tiles.The house also has a dramatic curved staircase with wrought-iron railings, beamed ceilings, a breakfast room, a loft-style family room and a 242-square-foot finished basement, said Frank Aazami of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, who had the listing with Nancy Read of the same brokerage.Goldwater, who ran unsuccessfully for president in 1964, built a house on top of Paradise Valley’s Scorpion Hill in 1952.Need a break?
