Arizona Cities Shine: Top U.S. Picks for First-Time Homebuyers in 2025

A new study has identified the top U.S. cities for first-time homebuyers in 2025, evaluating factors like housing affordability, job prospects, and quality of life. According to MoneyGeek, the report analyzed more than 180 cities and placed several Arizona cities high on the list. Chandler claimed the spot as the second-best city nationwide for first-time buyers, followed by Gilbert at number three. The study cited relatively affordable home prices, strong employment opportunities, and a high quality of life as driving factors behind these cities’ favorable rankings.

Other Arizona cities, such as Mesa and Scottsdale, also performed well in the study. In particular, affordability continues to be a significant draw for those looking to purchase their first home in the state, despite ongoing challenges with interest rates and market competition. The findings highlight Arizona as a prime location for individuals entering the housing market for the first time.
