Part of US 60, Loop 202 Red Mountain and Santan closed for construction


PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Construction projects will shut down several major freeways, affecting drivers who are planning to travel to and from the East Valley this weekend.According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, part of the US 60, Loop 202 (Red Mountain and Santan) and I-17 will be closed as crews continue improvement projects.Closures scheduled for Nov. 1-4:Westbound US 60 closed between Loop 101 Price and I-10 in Tempe from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday for sign work.Eastbound US 60 will shut down between I-10 and Mill Avenue in Tempe from 10 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday for bridge and sign work.Southbound I-17 closed between Peoria and Dunlap avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for work on Valley Metro’s light rail bridge over freeway.Eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain closed between the I-10/SR 51 “Mini-Stack” interchange and Priest Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Saturday for pavement sealing.Westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain closed between Priest Drive and the I-10/SR 51 “Mini-Stack” interchange from 9 p.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Sunday for pavement sealing.Eastbound Loop 202 Santan closed between Loop 101 Price and Alma School Road in Chandler area from 12:01 a.m. to noon Sunday for widening project.Westbound I-10 left two lanes closed between Fairway Drive and Dysart Road in the West Valley from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for maintenance.Ramps that will be shut down:Westbound US 60 on-ramps at Country Club Drive, Alma School Road and Dobson RoadAll I-10 ramps to eastbound US 60Westbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline RoadSouthbound SR 143 ramp to eastbound I-10Southbound I-17 on-ramps at Greenway …
