PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Construction projects across the Valley are continuing this weekend, so be prepared before you hit the road or have plans.According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, parts of Interstate 10, Interstate 17 and the Loop 202 will be shut down as crews continue construction work and pavement improvement projects. Drivers are asked to use the recommended detours and plan ahead for extra travel time.Here are the scheduled closures across the Valley:I-10 westbound will be closed between Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) and the I-17 “Split” interchange near Sky Harbor Airport for work related to opening new outside westbound “local lanes” (aka Collector-Distributor lanes) from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday.All I-10 westbound on-ramps between Loop 202 and I-17 “Split” will also be shut down. Ramps that will be closed include the I-10 westbound on-ramp at Wild Horse Pass Boulevard and US 60 westbound on-ramps at McClintock Dr, Rural Rd and Mill Ave at 8 p.m. on Friday.I-17 SB will shut down at Jomax Rd for pavement improvements from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Plan for I-17 southbound to also be narrowed to one lane between Loop 303 and Jomax Rd.Loop 202 EB (Santan Freeway) will close between Arizona Ave and Gilbert Rd freeway widening project from 10 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday. Loop 202 eastbound on-ramps at Dobson and Alma School roads will also close.Additional traffic restriction:US 60 westbound (Superstition Freeway) will be narrowed to three lanes between Gilbert and Dobson roads for pavement maintenance from 9 p.m. F …
