PHOENIX (KVOA) – Arizona Highways magazine is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a yearlong centennial celebration. Originally launched in April 1925 by Arizona’s State Highway Department, the magazine began as a 16-page publication focused on road construction and maintenance.Today, Arizona Highways has evolved into a renowned publication featuring award-winning photography and articles that promote the state’s scenery, culture, and history. The magazine aims to attract visitors to Arizona and encourage exploration.”We are sincerely indebted to the readers around the world who celebrate this milestone with our dedicated staff and contributors,” said Publisher Kelly Mero. “Even after 100 years, there are so many stories yet to tell and so many images still to be captured.”To honor the centennial, a special edition will highlight the magazine’s milestones, memorable letters from readers, and its legendary photography.
