An Arizona developer bought the Pacific Palisades, California, house where the actor Matthew Perry was found dead a year ago.
Anita Verma-Lallian, CEO of Arizona Land Consulting, paid $8.55 million for the 3,500-square-foot midcentury modern house, according to public records obtained by The New York Times. She declined to comment because of the “public nature” of the acquisition.
The Los Angeles-area house Perry purchased for $6 million in 2020 wasn’t listed for sale. He was famous for his role as Chandler Bing on the popular TV sitcom “Friends.”
In October 2023, the actor drowned in his hot tub, and the autopsy found he died of the “acute effects of ketamine.”
Five defendants have been charged in connection with Perry’s death. Two of those charged are doctors.
Arizona Land Consulting has been involved in more than $1.5 billion in land sales.
Verma-Lallian is also CEO of Camelback Productions. The firm’s website describes it as “committed to transforming the entertainment industry by bringing diversity and representation to the forefront.”
She hasn’t disclosed her plans for Perry’s former house, which has four bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms.
Arizona Land Consulting bought 600 acres in Casa Grande for $40 million earlier this month. It also recently paid $20 million for a 131-acre parcel in Buckeye.
