The Los Angeles Dodgers, who spent a combined $1 billion to sign coveted free agents Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto according to The New York Post, will be seeking their first world championship in a complete 162-game season since 1988. But they’ll face strong opposition from the Texas Rangers, hoping to becoming the first team since the 2000 New York Yankees to win consecutive World Series.
