
A 72-hour closure to a section of State Route 88 will affect drivers near the Theodore Roosevelt Dam and last through midweek.Drivers are advised to plan around the complete closure starting at 7 a.m. on May 12. The work is part of an $18 million project overseen by the Arizona Department of Transportation, and the closure will lift on the morning of May 15.The Arizona Federal Lands Access Program project consists of paving an 11-mile gravel stretch of the highway, also known as Apache Trail, and updating damaged drainage systems.
