
“Green” cars may soon lose their special access to Arizona’s high-occupancy vehicle lanes, the state’s Department of Transportation announced Thursday.If a pending change in federal policy takes effect later this year, Arizona will treat electric and alternative-fuel vehicles just like other cars, requiring them to have at least two occupants to enter an HOV lane, according to ADOT’s website.
