Birchtech Secures New Agreement with Power Utility from Arizona Litigation

(TSX: BCHT) (OTCQB: BCHT) (“Birchtech” or the “Company”), a leader in specialty activated carbon technologies for sustainable air and water treatment, today announced a non-exclusive agreement with a second coal-fired power utility named as a defendant in the Company’s lawsuit filed in Arizona, which was previously announced on July 30, 2024. Due to confidentiality agreements and ongoing litigation, the specific terms of this agreement cannot be publicly disclosed. Having now resolved all claims against the two group of defendants filed in the Arizona lawsuit, the remaining claims filed in Iowa and Missouri will continue against other defendants and have been consolidated and centralized in the Southern District of Iowa. “This second agreement reinforces the industry’s strong acceptance of our patented technologies, while concurrently fortifying our balance sheet for the benefit of our shareholders,” said Richard MacPherson, CEO of Birchtech. “We are happy to have reached a positive business outcome with this utility, which has and will continue to benefit from our patented technologies for a number of years. “Our outreach across the industry continues, including ongoing discussions with other defendants named in our recent lawsuits.
